I’m not one to do the ‘blah blah blah sorry about the blog break’ type post – whenever I read similar words on a blog that hasn’t been updated in a while I don’t exactly feel offended that the writer had a life they had to get on with…. so I’m hoping you’ll show me the same mercy.
And, instead of looking back on all the reasons why I haven’t blogged (much at all) in the past year, I’m going to look forward to all the reasons why I want to blog for the next little while:
- I’ve missed my little creative outlet. Instagram is fun, but it’s not the same.
- I have some time on my hands right now and I want to put it to good use, instead of watching beauty vloggers on youtube do smokey eye looks that I am waaay too uncoordinated to replicate.
- I anticipate I’m going to be home a lot during the day and I want a way of connecting with people
- I paid for this goddam domain name and hosting thing and I should really use it on the semi-reg
- I miss writing
- I need a reason to take photos. I don’t actually need a reason to take photos – I could just take them – but I haven’t done much of that this year either and I need to get back into it
- I have lots to say. I feel like I’ve learned a lot over the last year and it might just help someone out there
I’m sure there’s more reasons but for now that’s good enough for me. See you very soon… no excuses!
