I was doing so well with the blogging. And then life happened (a LOT of life) and I was actually pretty happy to take off the blogging hat for a little bit and concentrate on other things…. but now I’m back!
- Alex is doing well! He’s definitely not out of the woods – recovering from a broken femur and two broken eye sockets – and currently has his jaw wired shut from his facial surgery, but he’s getting better!
- I went to an amazing first birthday party on the weekend – it was Dr Seuss-themed, so it was basically perfect.
- It’s my last week at my current job. I have three days to go and I’ll be D.O.N.E. To say I’m excited is an understatement. I’m SO ready for change, and a challenge!
- It’s free shipping on Society6 again, so naturally I’ve bought at least six prints. Ooops.
- I’ve decided I’m going to start my second Whole30 next week. I might actually be crazy – starting a Whole30 and a new job in the same week – but if there’s one thing I learned from my previous W30 experience is that there is never a great time and you just have to go for it.
- One of the main reasons I’m choosing to do this is because my diet has been terrible the last six weeks or so. I’m actually embarrassed to even think about it. But – only one way to fix that!
- I’m also watching the Kardashians right now. SUPER embarrassing. But it’s winter and I’m cold. I accept that these aren’t logical reasons as to why it’s ok for me to be watching the Kardashians right now, but I’m going to roll with it.
- I’ve been catching up on a lot of blogs lately. It’s been very motivating. I have some good ideas for this little place!
- It’s SO cold in Auckland right now. It’s frosty in the mornings and icy in the evenings. And I’ve barely done any exercise all winter. I really need to get onto that. It’s hopefully going to start getting lighter in the evenings soon which will help a lot and hopefully I’ll get some good evening walks in.
- Last week there was this amazing launch of the new Nike Lunar Glide shoes. I didn’t get invited to this (my invite must have gotten lost in the post, I guess) but I’ve been so impressed by all the recaps. Basically, Nike put on this incredible event where they invited 18 ‘influencers’ for a surprise running challenge. They spent the night in a fancy hotel before catching a super yacht to Waiheke Island the next morning for a run around the island. HOW COOL. Read more at this blog and this blog.
